RONDO AWARD NOMINATION
Composer Michael McCormack - "Long Live the King" (Kong Documentary Soundtrack)
I'm so happy to share that my soundtrack work for the Kong Documentary, "Long Live the King" has been nominated for the Best Horror-Related CD (Category #23) by the 2018 Rondo Awards. Thanks to everyone involved with the Long Live the King production!
Just to be nominated is a true honor for me, especially after this past year. My Mom would be so happy...
In addition to "Long Live the King," "Monsterkids: Things That Go Bump In the Night," which I scored for my frequent collaborator, writer/producer/director by James-Michael Roddy, was nominated for Best Documentary (Category #10).
Additionally, I want to congratulate all the nominees, including my good friends Dale T Wamboldt and Lilith Lovecraft at the "Dr. Destruction Big Top Radio Broadcast," who have me on frequently as a guest to promote my music and have been so good to me. The "Dr. Destruction Big Top Radio Broadcast" has been nominated for Best Multi-Media Horror Site (Category #18). They work 5 nights a week for 4 hours a night, and also do a weekly TV show! Well-deserved! And thanks again for always having me on as a guest!
Also, I need to congratulate my other friends Derek M. Koch for his "MonsterKid Radio," the "Damn Dirty Geeks" and Kyle Yount's "Kaijucast," also nominated. They all do terrific work and put a lot of creativity and effort into their programs as well!
The voting method is basically a cut and paste form that you send in to the email address at the bottom of the site. Instructions are on the site below. You don't have to vote for all the categories unless you want to, and you must include your name in the email.
Thank you, and thank you to the Rondo Awards and anyone associated with this nomination!
